The Norwood Middle School Rising Star is sixth grader, Jayana Hubbard. Jayana arrives at school every morning in a good mood and greets everyone with a smile. She is a polite, caring and energetic young lady and she wants to be a teacher when she grows up.

Gabriel is a responsible and hardworking student who takes pride in school studies and personal growth. Gabriel is known for  honesty and respectful attitude, treating both peers and teachers with kindness and integrity. An artistic soul, Gabriel has a deep passion for music, especially when it comes to playing the violin.

As a 7^th grader at the middle school, Madden makes it his personal goal to demonstrate all of the school’s pride in the way he treats everyone around him with respect and kindness.  As an exceptional honors student, he is a leader and a role model for his peers. In the classroom, Madden consistently exhibits high academic achievement levels and earns high grades, but there is more. Madden participates regularly in class discussions with genuine interest.  His infectious energy is uplifting and makes him such a joy in class. Along with his academic efforts, Madden has a tremendous drive to be the best he can be.

Zoey is an incredible student who works hard every day. Her dedication to excellence demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility and a genuine desire to learn and grow. By staying on top of her assignments, she shows exceptional organizational skills and self-discipline, setting an example for her peers.

Maliyah Metts  is a remarkable addition to NMS demonstrating exceptional adaptability and enthusiasm. She has seamlessly navigated the challenges of a new school, building, and peer group with poise and determination.
